Brief History
Golf in Spain® was founded in 1995 as the first website in the
world specialising in information about golf in Spain.
Since then, we
have catered for thousands of clients who have taken advantage of
our services to organise their golf holidays.
Ryder Cup '97
Our first online commercial golf packages were created
in 1996 for the Ryder Cup 97 held at Valderrama. We
were the only European website to sell accommodation and entrance packages
due to a contract with the Ryder Cup Accommodation Bureau (Byron Travel).
We also retransmitted the event directly from Valderrama.
Campeonatos del Mundo de Golf
The same applied in 1999 and 2000 with the American Express World
Golf Championships, where our company also played an additional key
role in being responsible for all national advertising for the tournaments.
Volvo Masters
We have also
been closely involved since 2003 with one of the most prestigious tournaments
in Europe, the Volvo Masters.
As well as advising the organizers as far as media communication is
concerned, Golf in Spain‚ also exclusively provides the online
booking system for entrance tickets and travel packs and transfers
for the event.
