Our relationship with major golf events dates back to 1997 with the Ryder Cup, but with a company we have maintained a close relationship which we are proud, it is with Volvo Events Management, based in Brussels first and then Goteborg, and responsible for organizing Volvo events in the world of golfing.
The Volvo Masters was one of the most accessible tournaments to the public of the European circuit. Its more than 4.25 million euros in prize money made it transcend from the purely sporting field to a social event of the first magnitude.
Since 2003 Volvo Masters has hired us to manage the promotion and marketing of the tournament (through alsur.es) as well as for the exclusive management of advance ticket sales, travel packages and transfers for the most prestigious and longest-running (20 years) European Tour event in Spain. We maintained an uninterrupted relationship with Volvo Event Management for this event until 2009.
Volvo World Match Play
The new format of the Volvo World Match Play, combines the best of this legendary tournament held in the past in Wentworth (UK) with the experience of the Volvo Masters.
IMG and Volvo joined forces to create a global event of an unprecedented level in Spain and that would also be crucial to the outcome of the Race to Dubai.
After moving the event to Finca Cortesín and the incorporation of the giant IMG Golf, again we were in charge of promoting the tournament and the advance sale of its first edition in 2009 and in 2011.
