This &#8220;classic&#8221; Costa del Sol golf course was founded in 1973 and is one of the few designs of Gary Player in Spain. It&#8217;s a traditional members&#8217; course of mainly british residents in southern Spain and a good option with reasonable rates (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfinspain.com\/golf-courses\/el-paraiso-627.html\">from 35\u20ac in low season<\/a>) for those staying around the Puerto Banus, Marbella and Estepona area.<\/p>\n<p>We found the course to be in great condition, even though El Paraiso had to remain closed for various weeks during the heavy rains in spring, specially the greens, making this a very enjoyable course for players of all levels. As the management (the course belongs to the members) wants to improve the course&#8217;s image and have some additional green fees available for non-members, we&#8217;ve been told that additional times will be made available in the future, specially between 10 and 12, that till now have been exclusively members&#8217; tee times.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It had been a long time since we had been around El Paraiso Golf Club.
