The Alenda Golf course was designed and built by Roland Favrat with the maximum respect for the original lay of the land and the estate’s natural vegetation, avoiding any aggressive movements of earth during the construction process.
The golf course was completed in October 1999. It covers 49 hectares of land, 18 holes, par 72 and 6,257 metres in length, as well as an excellent practice area.
This course was a joy to play & all 6 of us will return in the future. The staff were excellent & the food was of a very high standard. The drinks were very reasonably priced and the course itself was in superb condition.
What a shame and what a difference a few months have made. In February the course was in decent condition, in November it was a disgrace. Tees and greens in a poor state and the fairways even worse. It was very very crowded, with far too many real hackers.
Lovely place to play golf. A good layout, especially for the mid to higher handicapper. Greens very very good, and in good condition. Several very good holes, and in general an interesting course.. Fantastic clubhouse, with good food. We all voted it as a course to play again.
Played Alenda earlier this week and thought the course as in good condition, although their guests seemed very lazy, all greens had alot of divots in them - especielly on the last nine. Too bad since the greens were pretty fast and smooth otherwise.
The course wasn't the most challenging to lower hcp players like myself (hcp 4,5) though there is nothing wrong with it, just a bit repetitive in it's layout.
The 17th hole has a hidden tee-shot with no possibility of seeing (tower/mirror/etc) or signaling (bell/sign) when the caost is clear, which led to us hitting a player in the ball in front of us, very unpleasant experience :-/ thankfully he was'nt hurt badly. But they really should fix that.
The club house is impressive and the staff is friendly, the food was good and very affordable.
My rating 3,5 of 5.
