About the golf course
This golf course has been challenging experienced golfers since 1988 when it was inaugurated as Real Club de Golf Campoamor by HRH D. Juan de Borbón, Count of Barcelona, in whose honour a tournament which bears his name is held every year in August. The course emerged from the wild beauty of Dehesa de Campoamor between two interconnected valleys surrounded by small hillocks that protect it from the wind, which generates a microclimate that enables the practice of golf any time of year.
With a 6,277 m round and par 72 the player enjoys a course whose laws, neatly-manicured to the highest standards of quality, are only enhanced by the lush vegetation and fauna of the area.

We had heard from some locals ahead of playing that this course was probably the worst in the area, checked online and discovered some reviews that backed this up, however having booked it and paid spoke to playing partners and decided to go ahead and play it, its a walk in the sun ion nothing else. The course was in poor condition, the tee boxes hadn't been cut in days, greens were bare and patchy in places, bunkers were hard compacted and the areas around them untidy and unkempt. Range similar to others in the area, yellow rubber balls, some with chunks out of them and the mats looked worse for wear. Got held up all the way round by a four ball in two buggies who's excuse for not letting us through was there was a two ball up ahead walking, add to this the ranger who walked onto he 9th green as we were putting demanding to see our receipt, where was he when we teed off? Didn't even stop for food afterwards went elsewhere so can't comment on clubhouse facilities.

I have liked the course, but the maintanance, that is going on, is unbelievable. Half of the greens are unpreparable winter greens, just hole on the normal fareway. Even more irritable is to see, that there is only normal minimal repairs done. The course is in normal good condition as it has been at least five last years. This maintenance underlines, that the management does not respect any more their customers.
