Villaitana Levante Golf Course: Championship and par 72
This course, with its characteristic Nicklaus design, is an American styled course with narrow fairways, exquisitely shaped greens and is more than 6,612 metres in length with stunning views over the Mediterranean Sea and the Sierra de Finestrat. it is a really spectacular course, with a magisterial design, where the placement of the bunkers along its fairways do that it is a question of a continuous challenge full of amusement for all the players of any level.
Villaitana Poniente Golf Course: Executive and par 62
This course is 3,858 metres in length and is located on the hill side of a Mediterranean pine forest with views over the sea and the mountains. Its design provides a great golfing experience for all types of players independent of their handicap.
Played the Levante course in July 2014. Great value for money. Welcoming and very friendly staff in the Pro Shop. The course was in great condition, challenging but not overwhelming and can be enjoyed by players with both high and low handicaps. Great views of Benidorm and the Mediterraean. Would highly recommend and I have already booked by next game!
We have an apartment here in Benidorm and play both of the courses on a regular basis, The complex has been through it's ups and down over the recent past, but is now being managed by Bluegreen, a French organisation. The courses are now once again back to good condition and are being properly marshalled You are expected (quite rigthy) to complete the round in 4.5 hours, which should be adequate...we have suffered 5 hours plus in the past, but they do check your progress and give gentle reminders to the slow coaches. Eduardo and Brendan are good lads who run the pro shop and do the marshalling etc....glad it is on our doorstep
Excellent course and hospitality excellent, tip is to play early morning as the course gets very busy.Only down side is the lack of sand in the bunkers which there are many!! Or stay out of them!! Levante is a testing course with very quick greens and plenty of bunkers as mentioned earlier. The Poniente course is well worth playing very hilly with some testing Par 3's
Played the Poniente course, it's a short par 3 & 4 course. Don't think , oh that's easy then !! This course is well designed and a real challenge to all handicap golfers. The first for instance, probaly has in excess of 20 bunkers from the tee to the green ... it's an enjoyable course to "think" your way around. The greens are up to the standard of much larger courses and the StrokeIndex 1 hole is a Par3 and you'll know why when stood on the tee - good luck ...
