We played Aguilón twice and really enjoyed it. The course is interesting with dramatic scenery and well maintained and presented. Some of the holes are really challenging and there are many ‘barancas’ - once a ball goes into one of these, you are not getting it back! The November weather was sunny but extremely windy. I would like to play the course in more benign conditions!

Just played this course twice in one week. We were overwhelmed with the course, spectacular views and the course was in great condition, true quick greens. Need a buggy but for the purist it is a must. We have played Desert Springs but with so much bad ground just off fairways this place is much better and we will be back.

Played 21 December 2015. Hcp 5. Fantastic place to play golf. Incredible views and great layout. Definitely need buggy. Four tee choices dependent on your wishes. Great condition generally. Greens good but not perfect. All in all well worth e40 which included buggy.

I played this course on 16.10.2015, being the 4th time I have played it. The course was in excellent condition and the greens very true. The course off the yellow tees is only 5600 yards, but played a lot longer as there is not a lot of roll. I walked it pulling a trolley and did not find it too tiring. 2 tips I would give to fellow golfers wishing to play this course is 1. choose your tees to suit your handicap and 2. the putts always seem to fall to the sea. Previous comments compare the clubhouse to Desert Springs - yes, there is no comparison, but then again the property around Desert Springs costs in excess of 1 million Euros, need I say more. Local ex pats would prefer to play Aguilon than Desert Springs, by the way.

Aquilon has some absolutely fantastic holes which , with 5 tees to choose from should be playable by all handicappers. The condition of the course was ok and if the greens were up to the standard of Desert Springs then this would be a great course. Not walkable.. need a buggy. A must play if in the area

A lot of work has clearly been done to the course and clubhouse. Excellent tees, signing, fairways and new bunker sand. Clubhouse seating outside area now very pleasant too. A perfect day.

Potentially a good course, but poor condition of fairways and greens let it down. A cart is absolutely essential, as the distances between greens and tees is considerable most of the time. A lot of high handicappers playing when I played as a 2 ball. We got let through three groups but one group held us up very badly over the last 5 holes. No real facilities and a temporary clubhouse with a 'restaurant' which served cold coffee and not much else. Pales into insignificance with the immaculate Indiana course at Desert Springs.

This course seems to get better every time I visit it. I have now played this course ten times over the last fourteen months along with the other tracks around the area and this is right up there with the best of them. The greens were immaculate and the manicured fairways were in superb condition. The course is well maintained and the staff warm and friendly. The course was busy with a number of societies playing and its easy to see why. Fabulous views over the bay of Pulpi set against a spagehtti Western backdrop will bring people back time and time again. Can't wait to return next year.

I have played the course numerous times over the years. In the early days it was good but not excellent. I last played in April and found it excellent. As usual the staff were very friendly. The club house needs improvement but is ok. If you are a high handicap golfer you will need a lot of balls especially if its windy. Sub 12 HCP wont find it a problem. I would certainly recommend a visit

A superb layout and well worth a visit. Probably a little difficult for the higher handicap player and any wayward drive will be lost down some of the steep rocky ravines that follow some of the holes but a grest test for the better player. The greens were immaculate and the course staff were very friendly. Looking forward to returning in September 2012. I can confirm Tony Wagg's comments are correct visiting the course at different times. Colin Hodge Rowlands Castle England.

Played this course end of february. Recommended to us by Swiss golfer we met at Valle del este. Bitterly disappointed by the condition of the course. No exercise possibilities, greens in sorry state, as well as the fairways. Difficulty level very high, when windy close to impossible, especially in the condition we found it in! Wouldn't recommend this course to anyone.

Even though this is very tough for a high handicap player like myself, this is without doubt the most enjoyable day's golf you can experience. The course is beatifully laid out, the views are amazing and the staff are just the best, making you feel extremely welcome, sorry to say not always the case in Spain.
