Fuerteventura Golf Club is the first 18 hole golf course in Fuerteventura, Canaries, venue in which the Spain Open tournament was held in 2004. It is one of the most outstanding in the fortunate islands, designed by the renowned Juan Catarineu.
The course offers sunny weather, a temperature of 22ºC, and delights in the special natural conditions of the islands. It is located in the Fuerteventura Golf Resort, surrounded by 1.500.000 m2, the largest green surface in the islands in between lakes, palm trees and beautiful looked after green-life making it perfect for the ideal golf vacation.
A safe environment, quiet, discrete and well communicated, just a few short minutes from the beautiful beaches of Fuerteventura declared a Biosphere Reserve by Unesco.Exclusive destiny for those who are looking to enjoy both golf and beach, nature, landscapes, and many leisure activities.
Regularly visit the island and play this golf course. Good range and short game areas.
Course layout really interesting, decent fairways & tee boxes. Par 3s are challenging and often into wind. Not a long course, driver + wedge to mid iron takes care of most holes. Some holes 6, 17, 18 unfortunately have been compromised and shortened to protect fairway lined villas. The tee shot required on 18 is laughable. Greens are usually receptive, a good standard and a plus point.
Unfortunately the bunkers are very poor quality, hard compact and stoney.
Overall a worthwhile play.
NB. Club hire poor quality.
Really nice course, well maintained with some tough holes. Played all courses on the island and this would be the one I would happily play multiple rounds on. Staff very welcoming also. Only down point would be the price, played much higher quality courses in Ireland/England for less than here, but thats to be expected on holidays I guess! Thanks for everything!
A nice resort style course, for a good day out. Layout is quite straightforward. The greens are divided into 3 sections A B and C, and the pins placed in the specified sector.
