Nice course. Tough but well designed. Easier for the big hitter and lots of open spaces

Nice course, interesting holes. Can be forgiving in some areas and challenging in others. Second time I have played and would definitely play again.

Played both courses, Olivios course was great with great greens, very fast. Our only issue was that as there are so many sand traps you would hope the course had maintained them so they had soft loose sand, as a 18 handicapper the bunkers were difficult to get out of because the sand was very compacted and had lots of stones in them.
The Lagos course was visually stunning and difficult to play however the bunkers were far more superior that the Olivios course. The greens were very fast and difficult to read but very very enjoyable.

Lakes Course plays easier than it looks as the fairways are player friendly and there’s no troublesome rough. Well maintained. Some elevation changes, but most holes play relatively flat.

We enjoyed both Mijas courses and we can see the improvements made over recent years. However, the bunkers are generally awful, very compacted and full of stones. They use a motorised rake which means the underneath is like concrete and the top looks ok.
Prices in Spain for golf in Spain are still too high in comparison with Portugal and the quality of the Portuguese courses.

It is a comfortable course, it has its distance challenges and the condition of the course is very good in general.
When I went to play last May 23, the condition of the bunkers of the course, the olive trees, were hard for me, caked sand.
As for the greens, the condition of the greens was very good but somewhat slow.
It can be repeated again. (automated translation)

Be aware if you have a non playing partner you will be charged an additional €20 for them to accompany you on the course.

Both courses were in good condition and are a very good test of golf but very fair. he greens were excellent but the bunkers were very variable and some were suffering from flooding. We took a season ticket which was excellent value and I am very disappointed that it has been increased by so much for 2025. This is all that may stop me returning as the week we spent was excellent golf at an affordable price and the increase may be a challenge.
Bar and catering are good and rounds were of an acceptable time .

There are two 18 hole courses. We played the lakes course. Wide open fairways, just the right amount of elevation changes, pretty views and a really fair course. Course was in good condition and manageable despite being CPO. Looking forward to playing again at some point.

A very enjoyable course to play. The only downside is the amount of water hazards to negotiate - accuracy over distance!

Fantastic day at the Olivos course at Mijas. Great facilities, beautiful course, worth the money. A little slow as there were lots of golfers, but from arrival and check in, to Caddy Masters and the restaurant staff afterwards, all extremely helpful, professional and welcoming. I would recommend the course without hesitation, we had a great day !

Los Lagos at Mijas is one of the best (affordable) courses on the Costa del Sol. I rate it above Los Naranjos. It was in immaculate condition and is difficult but fair. Easily walkable.

Played Los Lagos last year. Some holes were redesigned a few years back and it's definitively still one of the most pleasant courses on the Coast. Long, wide and challenging.
I then played a few days ago their other course Los Olivos. Also a very nice design except for a couple of holes, but more surrounded by buildings and properties. What was extremely disappointing was the condition of the course, particularly the tees and bunkers. Not up to the level at the moment for the rate and reputation. Stick to their other course at the moment!

Played Los Lagos, very good course lots of water to catch the wayward shots, sat nav in the buggies which is fun, greens were superb, generally a good days golf, although the fairways were a bit long, great clubhouse. worth a visit.

Two fantastic courses and superb practice facilities(large putting green, chipping green and driving range) make this a must play if you're in Costa del Sol. Sat Nav buggy's too, so no yardage(meterage) guess work! Play these two courses every year we go there. Class.

Played both courses. Highly enjoyable, Los Lagos probably the better course, but not by much. Good value. Buggies have GPS which is an entertaining gimic.

Played Los Lagos and very nice it was too! Buggies are allowed on the course which is good, particularly as we played after 13.00 to take advantage of the cheaper green fee (boy, was it hot). Wide, accommodationg fairways, but long, so you may have to rely on your 'up and down' game a bit. Sat Nav in the buggies is is useful giving distance to the pin, perfect for hitting those wedges in to the green.

Very nice course I have a bad back and dodgey knees, the fact that on the Los Olivos course one could take the buggy on the course 90 degrees to the buggy path and on the Los Lagos anywhere made this so much worthwhile to me. The Ranger was VERY FRIENDLY and most helpgul - I cannot wait6 to play again challenging holes well watered fairways (perhaps too much in places)

One of the flatest and widest golf courses I've come across in Spain. Perfect if you fancy an easy relaxing round with no real challegning moments.
Fairways and greens were very worn and in ap poor state of repair.
The buggies are state of the art with sat nav giving you yardage from wherever your buggie is to the flag but watch out they are inmmerets not yards!

One of if not the best golf courses I've played.
Attention to detail was second to none, from the hired clubs with clean grips and all of the same make to the buggies with Sat Nav, this course was a delight. Originally booked for Los Lagos but had to settle for Los Olivos as Los Lagos was fully booked, but was by no means disappointed.
