About the golf course

Los Lagos is a course suitable for players with a large, strong swing, but it also demands great concentration to avoid the obstacles. Los Olivos is a course best suited for iron and short game players.
The courses, Los Lagos and Los Olivos, are situated in the valley of Mijas, north of Fuengirola, only twenty minutes from the Málaga international airport and Marbella, and 3.5 kms. from the sea.

Los Lagos presents wide fairways, with numerous lakes -hence its name-, the water hazards which one finds at the 9th and 18th holes and also the many trees which are strategically placed to protect the large greens.

Los Olivos lies in a smaller peace of land, and has different characteristics to his brother. The greens are smaller with undulations and well protected by bunkers. Also, it has a large number of olive trees strategically situated around the fairways, which demand a strong and straight drive from the player.

Both courses pay homage to the architect's philosophy 'difficult Par, easy Bogey' -, with very little rough, plenty of water and relatively flat.

Played Los Lagos last year. Some holes were redesigned a few years back and it's definitively still one of the most pleasant courses on the Coast. Long, wide and challenging. I then played a few days ago their other course Los Olivos. Also a very nice design except for a couple of holes, but more surrounded by buildings and properties. What was extremely disappointing was the condition of the course, particularly the tees and bunkers. Not up to the level at the moment for the rate and reputation. Stick to their other course at the moment!

Played Los Lagos, very good course lots of water to catch the wayward shots, sat nav in the buggies which is fun, greens were superb, generally a good days golf, although the fairways were a bit long, great clubhouse. worth a visit.

Two fantastic courses and superb practice facilities(large putting green, chipping green and driving range) make this a must play if you're in Costa del Sol. Sat Nav buggy's too, so no yardage(meterage) guess work! Play these two courses every year we go there. Class.

Played both courses. Highly enjoyable, Los Lagos probably the better course, but not by much. Good value. Buggies have GPS which is an entertaining gimic.

Played Los Lagos and very nice it was too! Buggies are allowed on the course which is good, particularly as we played after 13.00 to take advantage of the cheaper green fee (boy, was it hot). Wide, accommodationg fairways, but long, so you may have to rely on your 'up and down' game a bit. Sat Nav in the buggies is is useful giving distance to the pin, perfect for hitting those wedges in to the green.
