About the golf course

El Higueral Golf is simply a surprising golf course.

Why is it surprising? Basicaly because many good issues have been put together. Higueral Golf has an easy going set up, with a superior course maintenance standard, beautiful surroundings just down below the Benahavis mountains. Location and access to Higueral are excellent.... But, what mainly makes Higueral an especial golf course is its fresh and modern design which has perfectly balanced difficulty, fairness and entertainment.

Higueral Golf is a walking course where not many balls get lost and not much time is wasted in looking for them. Distances from green to tee are minimal.

This is a little gem and should be on any holiday golfers itinerary. It is only a 9 hole course but can either be played twice to make up the full 18 or can be played from yellow tees on the first loop and the whites on the 2nd to make it a bit different. This is not a long course but the setting is stunning and the tees, greens and fairways are very well kept. There are a number of elevation changes and or doglegs that make up challenge instead of relying on distance as a defence. The par 5 4th hole is the best looking hole I have played anywhere all year. It starts off up and over a hill and then sweeps down and round to two tier green guarded by trees, bunkers and water. Not long but the drive and 2nd shot need to be accurate if you want to have a chance to go for the flag. The early bird deal (before 9am) and the all day ticket are worth considering for value. I will return here.
