About the golf course

The Montenmedio golf course ( 6260 meters , 18 holes , par 72 ) is unique and different from all Spanish courses. Not a single building affects its fairways and greens, surrounded by forests of wild olive trees, oaks, pines , Montenmedio offers stunning views over the Atlantic, white villages such as Vejer , Benalup, Medina and also over the African coast Tangier and Espartel. Playing 18 holes is always fun and surprising : deer , rabbits , ducks and other animals accompany the player along his gentle route.

The Clubhouse, Andalusian neoclassical style with Asian influences and refined furniture , offers exquisite golf services.

The course was magnificent but there was one thing that I reported because it surprised me and that is that there was no water point on the entire course. Course (automated translation)

Practice court chips quite expensive for the quality of the balls and the quantity of balls that come out. 4 euros for less than 40 balls which on top of everything else were all muddy and old. And I find it bad that at this time there is no water to refill the bottles along the course. (automated translation)

The location is lovely - very rural - but the condition of the course isn't so great these days, particularly the greens. Worth going though just for the experience. Hardly anyone on the course. I would sum it up as "charmingly scruffy".
