About the golf course

La Cala Resort is one of the largest and most exclusive resorts in southern Europe with three 18 hole golf courses.

The natural features of the La Cala terrain have been used to challenging effect by the renowned golf course architect, Cabell B. Robinson. The three courses are carefully maintained to ensure they are playable all year round.

The North Course (now renamed Campo America) is perhaps more difficult than the shorter South (Campo Asia) but both demand great accuracy from the tee and careful club selection.

Meanwhile, the third golf course, Campo Europa, uses the River Ojen in making the course distinctive. The layout allows for plenty of water hazards. All three offer different challenges to all levels of golfers and demand good course management in addition to a wide variety of shots.

You always know what you're getting when you go to La Cala. This resort is run so effectively that everyone there makes it look so easy, but you know that they work incredibly hard to make your visit a good one. We played Campo Asia which is my personal favourite. An ability to play strategically is imperative. Get in the correct position off the tee and the hole will be much easier, but if you're wayward you're suddenly up against it. A fun challenge. Course and greens were in excellent condition for mid June. Food and service in the clubhouse were first rate. Very quick service and our attentive waiter appeared without prompting just as were ready for our second drink.

Asia et Europa joués cette années. Beaux parcours mais décevants par leur difficulté et les distances énormes à parcourir entre les trous et du clubhouse au tee 1 de Europa !

Played for 2 plus months. The staff from the pro shop to the starters, to the players assistants and the grounds staff were simply exceptional. Would recommend to anyone looking for an enjoyable golfing experience.
