Both North and West in good condition. West continues to be particularly daunting. Disappointed however that nobody at GIS or when we played North before we played South told us the clubhouse at West was not open. Had the taxes not been paid two days earlier for both courses we would have been dropped off by coach at West and without any transport to get back to the office at La Manga Club to sort things out.

Riquelme seems run down compared with our last visit 6 years ago. The changing rooms and toilets smell horrible. Lots of broken tiles on the property, one of which on the main entrance route is a trip hazard. If you're older, take a buggy!

The scores I gave are not very good but to be honest the scores reflect the worst parts of the experience. Course condition was not very good especially the greens. Because they were resodded they were very inconsistent with patches of sand and really bouncy (not hard but literraly like a trampoline). The reception, caddymaster and people in the restauramt were excellent. The starter however was a disgrace. Didn't even bother to stand to greet us and not very respectful.
