We played the course in March 2015 and were very pleased of the conditions of the course and the very friendly staff ON the course and Armins the Clubhouse area. We're coming again in August 2015

One of the best greens in Costa del Sol, great staff, good value for money.

I think it is a great course that has little use, both by ignorance or the little publicity that has the course. (Translated from a review in Spanish).

Course in poor state of preservation, it is observed the lack of money, looks like they give more importance to the luxury homes to sell and have forgotten how to be a golf course. (Translated from a review in Spanish).

I don't agree with Chris Thomas's review so there must have been a massive improvement. I would say this is a fun course with plenty of good holes, worth playing. Some of the carries off the tee, especially on the first few holes are challenging, but after that the holes are very playable and the course is in decent condition (March 2015), greens OK, fairways plenty of grass, well watered. We come to this area of Spain each spring, it is not blessed with lots of good courses and I would play this course ahead of Desert Springs or Valle del Este where slightly offline drives are severely punished.

On 12.03.2015 we played Cabopino. We did not enjoy it. Course: Without a Stroke-Saver you are lost. You don’t know in which direction to play as it is very hilly and there are no direction helps. We often also had to look where to go for the next hole. Furthermore we found the course quite unfair for somebody without local knowledge. You could have a fabulous stroke in the middle or top of the fairway and it would roll out of bounce. Club: The green keepers were all over the show. They even parked 2 buggies left and right of the 4th green so you had to hit one. Furthermore, the pins are not regularly re-placed and there were quite deep “saucers” around the holes. The locker-rooms smelled badly, so we did not try them out. Costa-del-Sol: The clubs don’t check any reference as result of which everybody can play and many of them don’t have a clue about etiquettes. In Cabopino a 4-ball squeezed in front of us explaining that they had had a cup of coffee. Usually, you have to wait for a reasonable distance to get in the field again. (In SA it is normal to have a 10 Minute halfway break, which is perhaps a good tradition.) Also it happens quite often that the players behind you tee-off at a too close distance so there balls overtake you. We have lived in South Africa and played many courses also in France, Italy, Germany and now Spain. We also played Miraflores which was quite enjoyable. Cabopino was the worst of all!

Best course in the area by far. Always in excellent condition and a good test of golf. Front 9 definitely the better of the 2 and maybe the course would benefit from swapping the 9s but overall good value and will be back.

A very beautifull course, indeed. BUT We waited too long yesterday. In 5 hours 15 holes is not very golf-like!!! The Marshall was busy on the 1st hole. He complained that a lot of players were not playing right, no experience. Well, DO SOMETHING about that. One loses interest in the game, when waiting so very long!! We stopped after 15 and that's a waist of money and a lot of agony. Please ask for registration of at least hcp 36.....

Another course that is difficult to find - but well worth the anxiety of missing your tee time. Some great views, some really interesting holes, some offering reward for those taking the risks, and in good condition (2008).

Played it on a wet day - but the course would have been in poor condition anyway. Not particularly good value for money. Simply not an enjoyable experience.
